The first weekend of a new month is upon us…any cool plans yet? Then the Tribute to Motown is the music event for you in downtown San Pedro. Get your groove on and enjoy tribute bands featuring the sounds of The Temptations and The Supremes. Plus, special guest emcee Robert Gordy, Jr. who will be sharing stories of his Motown days with his uncle, Berry Gordy, Jr.

X Games - Aug2 - Weekend GuideX Games: Go Pro BMX Freestyle Big Air

WHAT: Do we need to say more? It’s the legendary, extreme sports showcase that we’ve all growth to love as the X Games. This event showcases a myriad of talent from the BMW bicycle world. Crazy air, stretches of open space that will boggle the mind and an atmosphere of super coolness is what awaits at this awesome event.

Aug3- Weekend Guide

Sunset Strip Music Festival featuring Linkin Park

WHEN: August 3 @ 9:30PM
WHERE: Sunset Strip

WHAT: Linkin Park is headlining this year’s Sunset Strip Music Festival Street Fest. The band frequently played the Whisky in the late ’90s as Xero and after vocalist Chester Bennington joined the band it was renamed Hybrid Theory. This legendary band with roots in LA will thrill, rock and impress everyone that attends.
COST: $79 – $250

X Games - Aug4 - Weekend GuideMoto X Enduro X at STAPLES Center

WHEN: August 4 & 12:30PM
WHERE: Staples Center

WHAT: Heavy metal, powered by 2-stroke horsepower, propelling human beings through the air at great speeds and velocity. If this sounds like an afternoon of fun and excitement then this is the event for you. Downtown LA hosts this final X Games event in LA, next year you will have to go to Austin TX for all the extreme fun.
COST: $10 – $25

Aug3&4- Weekend Guide

LA Waterfront Summer Festival

WHEN: August 3 & 4
WHERE: Downtown San Pedro
6th Street between Pacific Ave. and Centre Street
WHAT: Come out and celebrate a monumental birthday. San Pedro is 125 years old this year and this is a HUGE celebration to commemorate our great community. The event will encompass craft beer tasting from local brewers, two days of music filled entertainment and enough fun things to do to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy some relax time.
COST: FREE to attend
