WHAT: Paul van Dyk grew up in East Berlin under the political scrutiny of the East German government. Growing up the one of the few escapes from his daily life was the radio and the music the DJ’s played. Taking from that childhood influence, van Dyk developed a career of being a world renowned house DJ. This show will impress and entertain so come out and enjoy.

WHAT: Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk Los Angeles is a fun and festive walk to raise community awareness about bone marrow failure diseases while raising much needed funds for the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) to provide programs and services to help patients and families. The weather will be great to get out and stretch some legs plus it is for a great cause.

WHAT: Duty, Honor, Country: Betrayal (running time 75 minutes) talks about issues associated with an ACLU lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, regarding the failure to provide services and housing for homeless veterans in Los Angeles. The film includes a historic overview of the West Los Angeles veterans’ home with the goal of sparking public discussions that focus around issues facing U.S. military veterans.

WHAT: This pig-roast event is to benefit and bring awareness to childhood hunger in America. The chefs will utilize a butchered whole hog to create inventive spins on classic items such as pulled pork, pork belly, spare ribs, and pig ears. And complimenting all the great food items is a great selection of craft beers from Firestone Walker Brewery, Bockor Brewery, and Big Sky Brewing.
