An evening with Dr. Jane Goodall

Cost: $35 per person. If you like the Amazing Race you’ll enjoy CityRace Urban Adventure Hunt. Teams of 2 to 4 people solve fun clues and puzzles, crack codes and uncover the little known landmarks and facts about Los Angeles. The hunt begins at 10 am. Whale watching and a picnic
Where: Point Vincente Interpretive Center, 31501 Palos Verdes Drive West, Rancho Palos Verdes
Cost: Free. The Pacific gray whales have arrived. Located adjacent to the Pt. Vincente Lighthouse you’ll find the Interpretive Center. It’s PV’s ideal location to view the migration of the gray whales. Bring blankets, a picnic lunch and your family and begin whale watch. For directions and more information visit their website.

Hollywood film and fashion festival
Where: Bowers Museum, 2002 N. Main St., Santa Ana
Cost: Kids free / adults 15. It’s the 2013 Hollywood Film and Fashion Festival. Experience the history of cinema and its costumes. This family event has art project, music and a change to see the museum’s current exhibit. For time, directions and information visit their Bowers Museum website.
