Watch out, Amazon! Target and other major retailers are looking to win big during the upcoming holiday shopping season with a new price-matching system. Both Target and Best Buy will match the prices found on internet sites at their stores.
Target is said to begin the price-matching program on November 1 and will run through December 16. Store prices will match those offered online by Amazon, Best Buy and Toys R Us, just to name a few. The same policy will be extended to products in its stores available for less on Target.com or in printed advertisements from local competitors. This particular program will run from November 1 through December 24.
Best Buy is also stepping things up. Last week, the company announced that it would match prices for appliances and electronics. Free shipping will also be offered for products that are out of stock in stores.
Best Buy’s price-matching program will run from November 4 through November 17 and again from November 27 to December 24.
