Space Shuttle Endeavour Exhibit Opens to the Public

NASA’s space shuttle Endeavour is now on display at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. The exhibit opened to the public on Tuesday, October 30. To celebrate, a SpaceFest will run for six days through November 4 at the nearby Wallis Annenberg building.

Over three dozen exhibits, displays, and educational demonstrations will be on display to celebrate aeronautics and space exploration. Exhibits will be open Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM through 3 PM, and on the weekend from 10 AM to 5 PM.

In case you’re curious, Endeavour was NASA’s fifth and final space shuttle to be built. Construction of the shuttle began on September 28, 1987 and it rolled out of the assembly plant in Palmdale, CA in April 1991.¬†Overall, Endeavour flew 25 times, traveling almost 123 million miles and accumulating 299 days in space.

Ticket prices for the Endeavour exhibit cost $3 for non-members and $2 for members. Tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis and can be purchased here.
