The 3rd floor of Santa Monica Place will be transformed during this Halloween season and create 50,000 square feet of horrifying space. Hollywood Forever Presents the 13th Annual Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration
12 PM to 12 AM
Admission: $10 per person (bring exact change). Children 8 years and under are FREE until 4 PM. Seniors 65 and over are FREE until 4 PM. You can also pre-purchase your tickets online. Come dressed in your best Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) attire. Enjoy a traditional procession with Aztec blessings and regional Musical-Dance group dedications, Mexican cuisine, a variety of Day of the Dead arts and crafts, musical performances by Ozomatli, La Santa Cecilia, Very Be Careful, Las Cafeteras, and Tribu, 100+ altars created by members of the community to their loved ones, an art exhibition, Aztec ritual dancers, a costume contest, a children’s arts project area presented by LACMA (The Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Long Beach Zombie Walk
3 PM to 11 PM
Admission: $15-$50. The Long Beach Zombie Walk is an all-ages event that includes two music stages, food trucks, Harvelle’s beer gardens, an outdoor screening of the zombie classic move, Shaun of the Dead. 15th Annual Trick or Treat Festival and Halloween Hearse Show
10 AM to 4 PM
Admission: $2. Free for children 12 years of age and under. This year’s event will also include a Day of the Dead Celebration along with an all-day display of about 50 vintage and classic hearses, funeral coaches and ambulances. Kids in costume can do daytime trick or treating from 10 AM to 2 PM throughout the Orange County Market Place. The first 500 kids will receive a FREE gift. HOWL and Scary Stories Presented by Angels Gate Cultural Center
HOWL will start at 3 PM
Scary Stories will start at 6:30 PM
Admission: FREE. An fun, Halloween event for the entire family with live music and art workshops for everyone – printmaking, yarn-bombing and ceramic workshops. Bring your best pumpkin carving and costume to compete, or go on a haunted scavenger hunt. Learn Thriller at a dance workshop and gather around a bonfire to listen to scary stories. Admission to Scary Stories is $5. Children 6 years of age and under are free. Bring your own picnic and seating, or rent chairs on-site. Warm attire is encouraged. 2nd Annual Scary Celebration at Horipro Music Academy
