It’s the Law
We want to protect your assets and privacy, this means our employees must comply with the law, specifically federal law. If you open a new account with ILWU Credit Union, you will be asked to present a government-issued photo ID (i.e. driver’s license) and any one of these three items: PMA card, TWIC card or paycheck stub.
Notary Services – yes, we offer them
We offer notary services to all our members and charge $10 per document. We are always looking to provide additional resources to our members so that each visit is fulfilling. If you have any ideas for additional services/products, just let us know.
Did you know that is a requirement of most credit unions (including ours) to have a general Savings account? Why? The general Savings account is actually a Share account because it holds your share. Remember those $5 you were required to deposit when opening an account with us? Well this account holds those $5 and insures your membership and vote in the ILWU Credit Union.
If you ever decide to leave us, those $5 are returned to you and your Savings account (along with any others) will be closed.
